Beloved Roses in Winter
Spotted this card on one of the Convention Display board pictures attendees have been posting. I had to use Roses In Winter for one of my Artisan Award entries. It is such a beloved set! Thought I’d give you the details. The white panel is one piece of Shimmery White, embossed on the bottom with detail clear EP and stamped at the top with RIW. The scalloped layer hides the ’seam’ where those 2 different images collide. All of the fibers and ribbon are SU! I frayed the pink grosgrain to give it a feather look and the white organdy is heat set for a little curl and hold. Dazzling diamonds covers the rose petals. Three pink brads because someone once told me to think of a visual triangle and odd numbers of accents. (That’s the extent of my art and design training, LOL! Probably why I didn’t win! LOL!) It’s finished off with a double mat of Pretty in Pink cardstock and a “Thinking of You” tag.
Thanks for looking!

Pretty card…how did you do the scallop layer and get the scallops to match so well?

This is beautiful Lori! I bet it sparkles even more in real life. I’m really drawn to the poofy bow you created and the clear embossed print pattern background.
