Autumn Wedding

I think Autumn Weddings are wonderful…Crisp, bright days, warm snuggly nights…rich colors, festive spirits. I love fall weddings. Of course, I am married to someone who hunts more than I stamp…so, I got married in July. I mean, seriously, who wants to fit their anniversary dinner in around dove season, bow season, teal season, duck season, goose season, turkey season (fall and spring) and deer rifle season. At least in July, it’s too hot to fish and nothing is ‘open season’.

Back to my card…Autumn Wedding uses one of the images from  Lizzie Anne’s ‘Gettin’ Hitched’, a gracious gift from Lizzie herself. Thanks, Lizzie! It’s paired here with rich Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon and Shimmery Vanilla cardstock. (I get my Shimmery Vanilla at Cut Cardstock. Wonderful customer service, fast shipping, fabulous prices! You want the Curious Poison Ivory! Pssst: check out the clearance section – specialty cuts, but great deals…)

When I am trying to color something with such fine detail as the cake flowers, I have the best luck if I will emboss the image with a fine, detailed embossing powder. It helps me color in the lines. I added a punch of color with a piece of scrumptious Apple Crisp paper coming out in Stampin’ UP!s new holiday mini catalog on September 1st. Check with your demo, there are some really pretty things in there.

Thanks for stopping by.
