SCS Challenges: irRESISTable Featured Stamper!

I look forward to the school year for many things: time to actually clean my house and have a room stay clean for more than 10 minutes when I move on, an occaissional lunch with my girlfriends, maybe a part-time job <gasp> AND most definately, SCS Challenges on a regular basis! Woo-Hoo!

Today’s challenge is the Technique Lover’s Challenge from my friend, fellow SCS moderator and So-Cal Sweetie, Beth Warner. Emboss Resist combined with VersaMark Resist. Check out Beth’s thread and give it a try. When I was done with the suggested technique, I added a third level of dimension by overstamping with my Chocolate Pearlescent Brilliance pad – because it is a pigment ink, it will actually sit on top of the glossy white cardstock (yep! What you see as Pomegranate CS started out as glossy white!)

I combined 2 challenges here by creating a up and down tri-fold (or Joy-fold, after the infamous Joy Kennedy of eclectic Paperie fame) for the FS29 Challenge yesterday!  Cammie was the Featured Stamper yesterday, and her gallery has several beautiful, non-traditional samples. I can’t pick just one to show you as my single inspiration.

This card folds from the Pomegranate panel down, to reveal this message on the Cocoa layer:

This panel unfolds to the top to give you a nice clean space for a personal message. Notice how I have stamped the 3-flower accent behind the sentiment panel. Tucked in there, it adds depth to the layer without bulk that would prevent the Joy-fold from closing properly.

• Ink: VersaMark, Pomegranate, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Brilliance Pearlescent

• Accessories: Brayer, Vintage Brads, Pomegranate Wide Satin Ribbon
