My mom keeps meticulous lists & receipts each Christmas. Usually, those lists are in a crumpled envelope or notepad at the bottom of her purse. I used my Lizzie Anne Santa and altered this little band-aid tin for her to keep track of the grandkids Christmas stuff. I figured that the hard tin would be easier to grab hold of than another rumpled envelope.

There is one flat card with each grandchild’s name. This will give her some space to make a few notes. Notice the green card? My brother and his wife are expecting their 3rd child. They never find out the sex of their babies, our family is funny that way. For my lack of patience on things, like say, Copic Markers, I prefer to not know the sex of the baby til delivery. Call me crazy, but that’s how we like it…Back to the project, every Christmas that my SIL is pregnant we hang a stocking and give gifts for ‘Baby Lew’ ~ love either way.

So this was my first run with the Copics. (Actually had this ready to go before Beate’s challenge….how did that happen?) What do you think? This Santa was so fun to color. It was surprisingly easy. He begged to be glittered. Hey ~ speaking of Lizzie Anne ~ check out their Member Company forum over at SCS ~ lots of fun discussion on a variety of topics but especially your favorite Lizzie Anne stuff :). I cut the rectangle and circles with my Nestabilities. Some ribbons and a bit of patterened paper, made this a pretty quick little project.

It’s the weekend! And, I’m kicking it off with Beate’s Sketch #26 - man, I can’t believe we’ve been doing this 6 months! They’ve made for some pretty late Thursday nights along the way, but it’s fun and I like trying new things!

Last night I wanted to color something with my new Copic markers, so I chose this adorable Poinsettia Family stamp designed by Asela for Cornish Heritage Farms. Isn’t it just the cutest? … the stamp, not my coloring! I am so proud for Asela with this Christmas/Winter release! The sentiment which is cut with my Nestabilities is from Lizzie Anne Designs. I added some bling rhinestones in the corners, dazzling diamonds on the snow and was ready to go.

I needed a quick ‘gift for you’ card today, and I have been itching to break into my Lizzie Anne Designs stash. This set called Celebration Frames is wonderful paired with some patterened paper and a few quick embellishments.

I stamped the “gift for you’ circle on … you guessed it… shimmery white in Old Olive ink. Then I stamped the floral image inside with Palette Burnt Umber ink. I water colored with an aquaPainter and ink refill in Soft Sky and added some Dazzling Diamonds. The circle and scallop where cut with my Nestabilities. The stamped flower is a good match for the Three for You flower punch from SU! I just sponged the edges and glittered the centers.

The yummy, yummy ruffled edge, white May Arts ribbon is Lindsey Botkin’s online store,  Jacksonbelle Embellishments. It is so soft. She carries this stuff in several beautiful colors, and since I just re-stocked this morning, I feel ok about sharing the link with you. Go ahead and buy her out…I got my shipment notification already! <wink> I added a hint of paper-piercing on top of the ribbon, and this card is already out the door.

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll see you in the morning with Beate’s Sketch Challenge.
