Blessed
December 26th, 2007

This week I needed a gift for a friend who lost her mother-in-law. She had been at my home for a party earlier in the week, and fell in love with the Thomas Kinkaid stamp that I showed her. The stamps are really a work of art, the images, the coloring of the label. This is the kind of stamp that you set on a shelf to display because it is just that beautiful.
I think we card makers over think things sometimes, thinking beautiful is equal to hours and hours of work at the stamp table on our part. I hope this convinces you that is not always true. These notecards are mono-chromatic. One stamped image on Cryogen (Shimmery) White, no glitter, no coloring. A simple ribbon and pearl pin finish it off with a simple, Blessed, sentiment. I was pleased with how they turned out, and my friend loved them.

-
Stamps: Forest Chapel by Thomas Kinkaid from Cornish Heritage Farms, Fancy Flexible Phrases - Stampin’ UP!
-
Cardstock: Cryogen White - Prefolded A1 Notecards and Envelopes
-
Ink: Latte Dye from Adirondack
-
Accs: Kraft Taffeta from Stampin’ UP! and Pearl Stick Pin - sewing notion
P.S. The stick pins were just a hair long, so I trimmed them with wire cutters after putting them through the knot. Who knew my desk would include lots of things stolen from my husband’s tool box?

Lori ~ I happened by your site quite by accident through Splitcoast. I really love what you have done here, it is so crisp and clean. Of course the Thomas Kincade designs you have done are beautiful…You cannot seem to go wrong with these stamps. Have a great New Year and thanks for sharing

These look absolutely stunning - when I see these stamps I cringe because I can’t color! but than I see projects like this & think…I can do this - thanks for sharing & bringing it to my attention, that you don’t need to color these images in.
