to be the queen
January 3rd, 2008

My daughter’s love this new set from Lizzie Anne Designs, Once Upon a Time. I think this princess and saying are precious. Although, you always think it will be fun to be the queen when you are young, once you become the ’queen’ of the house it comes with lots of responsibilities that aren’t always fun, KWIM? toilets, dishes, laundry …anyone relate? Oh well, everyone went to school or work today after a long Christmas break. Today…I am the QUEEN of the castle!
Lizzie Anne has lots of cute, cute things to show you in the next few days. They are sneaking some peaks a few sets per day this week, and their big release party will be held in their SCS forum on Sunday the 6th from 7 to 9 p.m.
See you there ~

Day 2
January 2nd, 2008
Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair - every good path. ~ Proverbs 2:9
This is my prayer for the New Year, that I will be in tune with God’s good path for my life. That doesn’t mean easy or fun all the time, it means the path that leads me to a life lived for Him. That is good.
Have a wonderful day!
Happy New Year
January 1st, 2008

Happy New Year! We enjoyed time with friends last evening, and I had time to stamp today. It’s been a good holiday!
Have you made any New Year resolutions? I have some changes I want to make, one of them involves blog-land. I’ll give you some more details next week, but I hope that the 10th of each month this year blesses the folks who stop by my blog. <wink> That’s all I’ll share because I don’t want to ‘over-commit’, I’ve given that up for the New Year.
This is a card from Sketch 45 at CardPositioningSystems. It came together very easy for me. I knew I wanted to use the K&Company die-cut and I barely function at the stamp table without using a deep brown, chocolate. The stitching needs work. I am still getting used to my Janome Sew Mini (thanks, Santa) that Cambria talked me into asking for. I love it when Anna does that little zigzag thingy on the side, of course she can sew a straight line so her’s always look much cuter. One other thing, did you know that Copics work well on colored cardstock. This is Prism cardstock, and has a pretty smooth finish. I haven’t tried to color on any other brands.
OK, we’re off to visit some friends, eat pizza and play on their new Wii. Good times. The kids go back to school on Thursday and Lizzie Anne is gearing up for their big, winter release. Sneak peaks start tomorrow. I’ll be back soon. Thanks for stopping by!
