WSC62: Heaven & Nature
October 17th, 2008
When I got home last weekend, I had some beautiful Lizzie Anne waiting for me! I immediately thought of this Heaven & Nature poinsettia when I saw Beate’s sketch. Mine is colored with Copic Markers, RV10, R59 and a custom YR31. A custom YR31 is an empty sketch marker filled with half blender and half ink. This is a trick that I learned from Debbie Olson, and I’ve been oh-so-happy since I created my own. It gives me the yellow hue I love with half of the original intensity. Perfect for creamy leaves or glowing candles. i {heart} debbie o.
The measurements on this card are 3.5″ x 5.5″. This lets my poinsettia hang off the edge, and my card will still fit in a standard A2 envelope. And what about this Basic Grey Wassail paper? Sharon surprised me with this last week, and I’m so, so happy she did. The prints are beautiful. I’m committing to use the whole thing up before Christmas.
The fringe is some from May Arts that we picked up on our Archiver’s run last weekend.
Be sure to check out my girlfriends for sketch-spiration: Beate, Cambria, Charmaine, Jenn, Laurie, Mary Jo and sweet Sharon.
I’m a terrible, terrible mother who pulled her kiddos out of school today for some fabulous fall family fun! Maybe I’ll try to share pictures over the weekend! Have a wonderful day!
- Stamps: Heaven & Nature (Lizzie Anne Designs)
- Cardstock: Prism & Wassail (Basic Grey)
- Ink: Espresso Adirondack (Ranger)
- Accs: Copic Marker, Spica Glitter Pen, pompom fringe (May Arts)
