WSC67: Warm Heart

November 21st, 2008

It was 16 degrees this morning…’baby, it’s cold outside’! My sweet father-in-law has been visiting all week so that he and Wes can deer hunt. It’s been a treat for all of us, especially the girls. I know without a doubt the guys have had a wonderful time together doing boy-stuff, but I don’t think Pa planned on full-blast-7-hours-a-day-in-the-blind and 16 degrees. Poor guy, he’s going to have to take a vacation from us just to warm up a bit. Hopefully, he feels like we do, blessed and walking around with a warmer heart this week for sharing good times with people you love.  I {heart} my family.

Here’s my take on Beate’s sketch. I’ve enjoyed the sketches the last few weeks, and this one was perfect for my pretty Lizzie Anne set: Christmas in the City and Winter Wonderland Paper Pack. I used Copic Markers YR31(Reddish Yellow) & G63 (Pea Green) to color my mitten. The sentiment is stamped in Espresso Adirondack ink. Some accent with my paper piercing tool and a Martha Stewart punch snowflake to accent the corners.

I’m working on several Christmas giftable items, and I plan to start posting next week. There will be some oldie ideas revived and some new ideas that have been rolling around in my head. Plus, Sharon and I have been cooking again…and we just might have some more stocking stuffers up our sleeve. Stay tuned, by Monday for sure! <wink>

Make sure to check out more sketch-spiration from Cambria, Charmaine, Jenn, Mary Jo and Sharon this morning. I’ve got a full day of work ahead of me and a crab leg dinner tonight. I feel a great day coming on! Hope yours is wonderful in every way!

Great card, Lori! And you are right. It’s cold outside, even here. Although here, cold is light frost at night, 40s in the morning and then warming up to 50s. Still feels cold to us who still had 80s two weeks ago.
Have a great weekend. Hugs and smiles
