Cupcake Challenge
December 20th, 2008
Could I have waited any longer to use this darling Holly Cupcake image that I colored it way back in October? With Christmas literally around the corner, I figured I better get it put to use. :) When I saw Taylor’s sketch yesterday with a circle element, I knew this would work. It’s really dreary here, so there was no catching the Spica Glitter pen sparkle or Glaze pen accents on the holly and berries.
Have you seen the adorable backgrounds that Carole Burrage creates when she’s stamping and coloring (like THIS)? I realize that I should have worked with the spacing of my patterned images a little bit more before trying it on the real deal cardstock, but by 1:00 a.m. I was tired and I wasn’t about to start over.
The images are all colored with Copic Markers, and with GinaK’s 120 lb. real deal Pure Luxury White cardstock, there was no marker bleed through to the back of the white based card. It’s also super sturdy. White cardbases are back! Happy day!
The heart holly image is from Kim Hughes set, Christmas Cheer. The Holly Cupcake is a Lockhart image from Ellen Hutson.(Psst, it’s the stamp of the month!) The sentiment is from the set of the same name from Taylored Expressions, Season’s Sweetings. All colored with Copic Markers. The heart brads on the sentiment are from Making Memories.
The ingredients for 7 layer bars are calling my name from the kitchen counter. They are the easiest cookie EVER to make, but I put off making those things because I love them so much! KWIM?
We’ll be taking them ALL to church in the morning or to neighbors tomorrow afternoon.
Uh-huh…yeah, right!
Have a great Saturday!
