Just for Fun

Since I left my design team commitments back in the fall, I have missed challenges with my DT friends. I like trying to work within the perimeters for a specific project (I find it can be a little stressful, but I usually end up trying new ideas!),  and I love seeing what everyone else comes up with!

I’m posting a little ‘just for fun’ challenge card that I created yesterday.  A few of my stampy friends decided we would use a darling little Whiff of Joy image that we all love, Willow with Hot Chocolate.  Then, just for kicks, Carole Burrage sent each of us a few little snippets of this designer paper from American Crafts to work with.  I’m excited to check out what she, Michele Boyer, Alli Miles and the beautiful Julie Campbell came up with. They’ll have darling samples, for sure.

I love this little girl image – I’ve used it several times before. (You can see previous cards by clicking the Whiff of Joy link on the right.) This little lady reminds me of my sweet oldest daughter who is growing up so fast. She is the chronic cocoa drinker around here.

I always feel like this little girl image should be sitting on a rug or the floor or something, so I created a little rug for her and then thought that the same patterned paper would be a cute back drop or curtain on a window or something of the like. I used a Big Shot die to create a ‘window’ for my card. The butterfly pin simulates wall art, and I’ve done my own inspirational art by writing ‘dream’ on my epoxy wallhanging with a Copic Multi-Liner pen.  No smearing and instant dry. Love those Multi-Liners.

I’m supposed to be off of the computer and packing, but I’ll be back tomorrow with a sweet little treat. Hope you have a fabulous day!
