National Weather Service …
May 8th, 2009
<beep> <beep> this just in: The National Weather Service has advised moderate to heavy thunderstorms with a zero percent chance of decent photographs this morning.
Woke to rolling thunder this morning. We’re building an arc here in Missouri and praying that we don’t see a repeat of last year’s flooding this spring. I think we’ve seen full sun for 2 of the last 14 days or something like that.
I had a chance to use my Fresh Flowers set for today’s weekend sketch challenge. You can see the sketch here at the home of Cami-liscious Turnbow. Look how well the smaller flowers in this bouquet paired up with more of that new Wild Raspberry patterned paper. Flowers are colored with Copic Markers and accented with the Spica Glitter pen.
The big button on the left with the impressions of flowers? I’ve been hoarding that one! Do you do funny stuff like that? Hoard just random bits and pieces of stuff? I only have like 2384 buttons, but for some reason have an attachment to that one. Well, there is no one I’d rather share it with than my momma. I know she’ll love it.
OK - precious family is needing some attention. So, I’ll quit babbling. Check out other sketch-spiration over at Charmaine’s, Jenn’s, Laurie’s and Sharon’s blogs. See you tomorrow for Divine Design.

Beautiful card and I totally understand the button thing. I will part with hundreds of plain jane buttons but the one that stands out in the crowd is hard to say good bye to. It will have a good home with your mother.

Great card Lori - your momma is a lucky lady! (And knowing moms, you will have a recycled button in your midst in due time!)
I would love to know where in Missouri you are. We are between Farmington and Fredericktown, and boy, did we ever get hit. We just got our power back on late this afternoon, and it’s been off since Friday noon! Tree damage, roof damage, BBQ grill turned over, lawn furniture out in the yard, siding damage, etc….but we are all safe, and thankful to be ‘flushing’, ‘washing clothes and dishes’, etc. tonight! Hope you are well - looks like the forecast is predicting rain Tues.-Sun.next week - UGH…!!!
Blessings….
