Divine Design
May 9th, 2009
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1
It’s the 9th of May, and that means it’s time for Divine Design. You can read about the Divine Design challenge here at Splitcoaststampers, and you are invited to participate at anytime. This year, I’m making 6×6 pages that hang on a wooden stand frame in my stamp room. You can see other samples and inspiration if you visit Angel Wilde, Jami Bova and Nancy Morgan.
This month I chose another verse from the anniversary sets at Our Daily Bread Designs. There is a nice variety of scriptures in the 2 sets. I love the combination of fonts. Each verse is large enough to take center stage, making quick work of special words of encouragement.
We’ve got several sweet birds that hang out on our porches and around our yard. I love watching them out my kitchen window. We’ve got warmer temperatures, and I’m putting the sweatshirts away. That’s a good thing. I’m grateful that everything has a season.
This little birdie is part of the April stamp of the month kit from Unity and colored with Copic Markers (BG72).
I am wondering, now that I’m typing, what is up with my zigzag stitch?
Here’s a close up of my verse. I’ve cut these with my Labels 4 dies from Spellbinders. The rhinestone flower is just one in a set of 9 that match the new K&Company line that I’ve been using all week. They really are that shiny in real life.
The K&Company line is Wild Raspberry.
I’m spending some special time with my mom this weekend. Hope that your weekend is relaxing and full of good times.

Hey Lori, how are you? Love this card and the way you have the scripture taking centre stage. I’d say what’s up with your zig zag stitch is that your machine threw a little tension tantrum - too tight on top! (mine does that sometimes, too!) But if you hadn’t said it, I wouldn’t have seen it ;o)
