Double Dipper: A Wee Christmas Wish

Tomorrow I’m hosting the Weekend Sketch Challenge, and then we’re off to the business of company holiday obligations, family Christmas obligations, scurry of shopping and frantic wrapping and baking and where are those labels for the Christmas cards! But today…before that weekend swoops down on you, I want you to reflect on the reason for the season…Silent Night, Holy Night.

I know you might not associate a drum with Silent, Night, but I always love to hear the drone of those low tom-toms: pumm, pumm, pumm. It’s like hearing the drums of the marching band far off down the parade route, you know something good is coming. 🙂

It’s a double dipper today. My friend Michele and I are both be showing you cards we made for the pure fun of card making with an image we both adore, Wee and Drum from Whiff of Joy.

I think these gnomes from are just darling, and recently…I’m not sure how…a few of them ended up in my shopping cart. How does that happen? My little drummer is colored with Copics. I coordinated her outfit with some Cosmo Cricket paper and tag from Wonderland collection. On the tag, I stamped a large Silent Night background in faint Old Paper Distress ink from Ranger, then I used the same stamp to put a sentiment across the bottom. I love how this came together.

I can’t wait to see Michele’s card. I know it will be beautiful.
