Just a Blog Hop

It’s World Card Making Day, and my good friend Jami asked me if I wanted to hop with some of our stamping friends…I don’t tell Jami, “no”. She knows this. Here I am.

If you’ve just happened upon this post, you can go back to Jami’s blog to hop from the beginning…the list of bloggers is not too long, and I know you already adore many of the artist who are participating. If you are already hopping, keep reading. 🙂

Jami’s encouragement for this hop was to stamp, just for fun…The main image that I chose to work with is so dear to me, and it’s been begging for ink for over 2 months. At Summer CHA in July, I wanted to send postcards to my kiddos who where at camp that week. Anyone who has been to CHA knows it’s right near impossible to buy postcards or take-home gifts at the convention center. So, I asked Marianne to draw a postcard for each of my girls. She whipped up this cute-ness in about 15 minutes.

This is my oldest daughter…to a T. If you have any doubt, check out this post that is a few years old and scroll to the last picture. Isn’t this image darling? Marianne is so incredible. The image is hand drawn on Copic Blender Card with Multiliner.  I brought it home, scanned it into my computer and printed a few copies on Blender Card to color. So, it’s really more of a ‘digi’.

The geese stamped in brown on the background layer are on a very favorite CHF stamp called, Bird Watching. If you read my ‘Married to a Goose Hunter’ post linked above, you know why I love this stamp. 🙂 It hadn’t seen ink in far too long. I chose to pair it with some Crate paper that had been begging for attention since the mailman dropped it off on Monday.

Inspiration for my card was actually a Splitcoaststampers WCMD challenge posted earlier today…called Bring in the Brown.

I know you’ll be smiling after your next stop on our Just a Blog Hop. Please make a visit to my friend, Miss Anna Wight.

Have a great weekend!
