It’s time for a Taylored Expressions Sketch! This gave me the perfect reason to ink up Betty!

I was instantly smitten with Betty. When Wes and I were first married and living in Plainview, TX, we had some dear friends that we did a lot of fun things with. The wife loved to bake like crazy at Christmas, and the husband always said that ‘Betty’ (Crocker) was her alter-ego. Every Christmas since then, I think about Betty and those early married Christmases. She shared several treasured Christmas candy recipes that I still use during the holidays! Unfortunately, our friend ‘Betty’ passed away from a blood clot much too soon several years ago. So, this spunky little stamp really made me smile when I first saw it…reminding me of my friend.

Taylored Expressions is a proud sponsor of the Hope You Can Cling To card drive at Splitcoast this month, so my card is also representative of Lori McAree’s challenge to use the colors of hope: brown, green and yellow.
