I remember the first ‘happy mail’ I received for publication work like it was yesterday… Twirling my office chair around, spinning in glee. Like so many in the papercrafting industry, I was saddened to learn that this beautiful publication is ceasing operation early next year.
To honor the wonderfully talented people at Paper Crafts, I wanted to share a photo of my favorite Paper Crafts published project. This was a little bandaid box Nativity that I created several years ago. I had found the miniature Nativity pieces at Hobby Lobby and knew immediately what I would do with them. (Sadly, I’ve looked for a similar miniature Nativity set every year for the last few years, to no avail. So, if anyone knows where to find one or three, please let me know!)
I created a little book that slides inside the tin with the pieces of the Christmas Story, and I love taking this out year after year. These past few years, I’ve been setting it under a glass cloche dome.
Thank you to Paper Crafts for inspiring me to create and for encouraging me to strive to do more with this crazy little hobby over the years. You’ve brought such joy to me through crafting and friendships through the years. Many of those paper crafting friends are celebrating and hopping today in honor of Paper Crafts.
