Perhaps my very most favorite verse in the whole Bible! Perfect for babies, spring, healing in broken relationships, Easter, baptism, salvation, forgiveness and grace. In the power of Christ, ALL things are made new, not some, not a lot but ALL.
This is my April submission for Divine Design, and the months seem to be flying by. Thank you for your participation, the stories you share with me, the prayer requests, the blessings. This challenge is doing what I had prayed that it would. It is bringing a group of women who love Jesus together, and through a shared hobby, putting power to shared joys, hopes and needs in the Lord. YOU are a testament and to His infinite goodness and glory!

Divine Design - February

Here it is month 2 of the Divine Design Challenge. Anyone is free to join me and my friends Angel, Jami, Nancy and Taylor as we post a special scripture on the 8th of each month. The only rules are that it must be scripture, not quotes or inpirational thoughts IF you want to use the keyword when loading to the SCS Gallery - BVC08.
The scripture I chose this month is ALWAYS on my mind around Valentine’s Day. If you really like the backstory, you can read one of my very first blog posts HERE. When I think about this verse and it’s special Valentine sentiment, I am flying high. I guess that is how each of us should feel when we read the greatest love letter ever written.
I hope that love fills your weekend as you prepare for the holiday that celebrates it.

This is my prayer for the New Year, that I will be in tune with God’s good path for my life. That doesn’t mean easy or fun all the time, it means the path that leads me to a life lived for Him. That is good.

Joy…faithfulness…self-control

I found these beautiful die-cut photo mats from K&Company over Christmas in my Archiver’s store. They are double-sided, beautiful prints. You have to trim them in the middle to be card sized, but I have been having fun making cards with them the last few days. This is one card I can show you right now, and it showcases the stamp of the month from CHF, Joyful Winter Wishes. Isn’t Kim’s snowman darling?

Last night, I was excited to post this first thing this morning, but I awoke to a ‘bad news’ phone call and cards just weren’t on my mind as I prepared for church. Then at church, we had a time of prayer for a family whose father is being deployed to the Middle East this week. He’ll miss his oldest daughter’s ’sweet 16′. Most of you know that my friend and teammate at SCS, Beate sent her husband off this week, as well. My heart breaks when people I care for hurt. I have cried all day long.
As I was thinking about posting the card and ‘joyfulness’, I was reminded of the fruit of the Spirit. Joyfulness is listed right there with patience, faithfulness, self-control. The Holy Spirit meets you whatever your present circumstance, if we just ask.
Come Holy Spirit fill the hearts of your faithful, kindle in us the fire of your love….meet us where we are, with what we need, be it joy, faithfulness or patience as we start a new year.
