Along with working on the SCS Challenges this week, I have swap that should have been mailed. like 2 days ago. The swap hostess is my good friend, Jami in beautiful Southern California. She’ll receive all these cards in the mail and then swap them out with others created by many of my stampin’ idols! In about a week, my mailbox will be overflowing with beautiful cards all using items from the upcoming Spring Mini Catalog.
My assignment for this swap was to showcase a portion of the “Notations” papers that will be available in the Stampin’ UP! Spring Mini catalog. I paired them with the Office Accoutrement set and a few favorite punches. Here is a close up:
These are full cards, ready to send! The Notations paper is complemented with Taken with Teal cardstock from Stampin’ UP!’s Rich Regal line. The inks used were Caribbean Cool and Chocolate Chip. Notice that I added 3 Chocolate flowers to the background paper, along with the word FRIEND. I always try to keep accents and what-nots to an odd number. Three is much more visually pleasing to the eye than two or four. Same idea as flower arranging (working with odd numbers). I got a little ‘punchy’ here and used the Spring Bouquet Punch for the smaller Chocolate Chip flower, the Southwest Corner punch and the new Spiral Punch (also from the upcoming Spring Mini!)
