Done with Ducks
December 22nd, 2007

I love my husband dearly….but by the end of December I am done with dove season, duck season, deer season, turkey season, goose season. I am done! D-O-N-E! The inside reads: “I’m done with the ducks, already”
I picked up this Paper Inspirations stamp at a stamp store in Branson a few weeks ago. I thought I would use it to make a nice sweet hunting card for Wes. Hmmm, it’s December 21st, we are full-throttle into Christmas and I needed some stress comic relief from the hunting season. I know that you cannot possibly relate to my post if you aren’t married to a hunter, but trust me, it’s not easy. You know, they are up at all hours, gone long before the first morning light and then need to nap all the time to catch up on all their missed sleep. It’s like the world stops turning for whatever season. Hey, good news, I heard him tell his dad today that he was done deer hunting for the year. Woo-Hoo!
OK - rant over.
I have a cute Lizzy Anne last minute gift that I am trying to get photographed. I’ll try to have it up in the morning. Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, I so understand! I have a husband who lives/breathers hunting. We even own a hunting/archery shop behind our house that has turned into a very busy place. But, he still goes hunting or to 3-D archery events all year long. Almost every conversation comes back to hunting. I think every vacation that we have taken has somehow involved some aspect of hunting. Ok, now my rant is over too. Sorry! I really like the card and will have to look into buying that stamp. I think it’s hard to find nice hunting stamps. I need a good archery one.

I know zip about hunting, we love animals so much and all, I am one of those! Also, I think being in southern California there isn’t hunting here, just ocean fishing.
You are a trooper, I couldn’t imagine! Your card is perfect and I think your rant is over due! Have a very Merry Christmas! Wild turkey? he he! Deb

I have a few friends that hunt and my dad use to, but I can honestly say I’m so glad that there isn’t anyone in my house that does. I love the card though, it cracked me up. Just in a goofy mood! Have a great weekend.

You are preaching to the choir, baby! I usually am SO DONE with hunting season……..especially duck season because it falls during all the Christmas hoopla. Lucky for me, our house building has occupied my husband’s interest this season!!
Love the card - so impressed they have a duck hunting/lab stamp!! Very nice work!
